Custom marble sink questions, answered

What sizes can a custom marble sink be made in?

Standard custom sinks run 18 to 60 inches long, 12 to 22 inches wide and 6 to 12 inches deep. Anything outside that range is still possible. Send your measurements and we will confirm feasibility for the stone you choose.

How are length, width and depth measured?

Length is the side to side measurement across the front of the sink. Width is the front to back measurement. Depth is the height of the stone block from the top surface down to the base, not the depth of water the basin holds.

Do I need a backsplash on a marble sink?

A backsplash is optional. It is worth adding when the sink sits directly against a painted or papered wall, or when the faucet is wall mounted, because it keeps splashes off the wall surface.

How many faucet holes should I order?

One hole suits a single lever mixer. Two holes suit a lever plus a side valve. Three holes at an 8 inch spread suit a widespread set with separate hot and cold handles. Choose no holes if your faucet is wall mounted.

How long does a made to order marble sink take?

Carving typically takes two to three weeks, plus shipping. Your quote confirms the lead time for your specific stone and size.
